This Sunday is πΈκ₯ο½κ₯πΈ ππ¨ππ‘ππ«’π¬ πππ² πΈκ₯ο½κ₯πΈ in the US, so I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the incredible strength, dedication, and unwavering love of all the amazing mothers out there. Being a mother is a role that encompasses boundless love and selflessness, and, especially when combined with the demands of a career like my mother had, it requires an extraordinary level of resilience and balance. I just want to acknowledge the unique challenges my mother, and others like her, faced in their quest for fulfillment, both in their professional lives and in the nurturing of their families.
Every mother deserves to thrive, finding harmony in their careers and personal lives, while still holding onto their dreams and aspirations. As I reflect on how much my mother had to do on her own. I wish that she had had more support and encouragement, someone to bounce things off of and to help her through the tough times.
It’s not uncommon to have coaching conversations with women who want to clarify their priorities and identify what truly matters to them. They’re often trying to figure out how align their personal and professional goals, develop effective time management strategies, create realistic schedules, set boundaries, and delegate tasks when possible. Maybe they’re wondering how to build better relationship with their partners or children. Sometimes they want to talk through setting career goals, developing strategies for professional growth, and overcoming obstacles, like workplace discrimination, that may arise along the way. And last, but not least, they want to integrate self-care into their busy schedule so that they have time to recharge, maintain their overall well-being, and approach both work and family life with greater energy and fulfillment.
What are your hopes and dreams? How do you balance all the things? Who can you ask for support when you need it?
